Steel Craft Technologies has recently added a new piece of equipment to our CNC machine shop – The Omega Exactus Pro Tool Measuring Machine. This tool presetting machine works offline and allows machinists to set tools while their machines are still running, cutting down on idle machine time and increasing shop efficiency. This presetter measures the cutting edges of the tools using a built-in vision system and guarantees concentricity of the setup with 1 micron.

Time spent setting tools can be cut down from up to 15 minutes on the machine, to less than a minute offline in a presetter. Time reduced setting tools equals increased time helping our customers get more work done!
